This is our nearly latest addition, Pete. He came to us directly from the States and he is carrying bloodlines from old ranch dogs you will hardly find here in Europe. This little man is only with us since the middle of April 2004 now, but he already belongs to the pack. Although at first Zach did not like him very much, this has changed now to the complete opposite, so that especially Zach is taking care of little Pete. It is wonderful to watch them play altogether. He is 18 months now and very independent already and not afraid of anything - he is just wonderful. He already tested his influence on sheep and did very well! He is Mr. Energy (not always to the other dogs' liking), but also very sweet and soft and very, very intelligent! Unfortunately, this dog that I so much wanted is actually more Dieter's than my dog - that's bad luck. Finally, Dieter tried herding with him at our trials here in Wendenborstel and both, doing it for their first time only, did very well. The trials ended for Pete and Dieter having earned a qualifying score at ducks (nearly missed the sheep, but still they received a nice price for the "Most Promising Started Aussie".
